Hall of Fame Inductees
Robert "Kip" Dowling, Contributor (Class of 1987)
Robert "Kip" Dowling is being inducted as a contributor. Kip coached the 7th grade basketball team in 1992 and had an undefeated season (17-0) Kip coached 8th grade girls basketball, 7th grade boys basketball, JV girls basketball, and Varsity girls basketball. Kip has been an assistant football coach, and assistant softball coach and the golf coach.
Tonyea Smith Kendrick, Athlete (Class of 1990)
Tonyea Smith Kendrick is being inducted as a two sport athlete. Tonyea earned six varsity letters - two in basketball and four in volleyball. Tonyea received the following awards in volleyball: Sophomore Award, Junior Award, and MVP her Senior year. Tonyea received Leading Scorer Award her Junior year (131 points), 1st Team Evening Review. Senior year, Tonyea set three school records, 696 sets, 61 dinks, and 13 aces. Also her senior year, Tonyea received Leading Setter Award, 1st Team TCL and 2nd Team All County. The team finished with 16-7 her Senior year which was the best record since 1985.
Michael S. Skrinjar, Athlete (Class of 2002)
Michea Skrinjar is being inducted as an athlete. Michael earned 10 varsity letters in football, basketball, and baseball. Michael's awards were received in baseball and basketball. The awards include: Freshman year, Most Improved Player in baseball; Junior year, Honorable Mention All-Are basketball and Team Defense Award; Senior year, All-Area basketball and Team Defense Award; Senior year, All-Area basketball and team MVP Award. In basketball, Michael set recordist: Most Assists in a game (16, still stands); Career Assists (314, still stands), and Career Steals (later broken by Josh Diaz). Michael receive recognition his Junior year, Team Defense Back, TCL First Team Defensive Back, Quad-County All Star First Team, All-Area 2nd Team Defense and Columbiana County Honorable Mention Defensive Back. Michael's Senior year, he was awarded High School Athlete of the Week Honors by all three local newspapers. Michael received the MVP Award, TCL First Team Quad County First Team, All-Area First Team Defense and Columbiana County All Star. Michael broke the 1978 record for Most Yards Rushing in a single game with 259 yards.
George Williams, Athlete (Class of 1974)
George Williams is being inducted as a three sport, seven varsity letter winner athlete. George received varsity letters in cross country, 4 varsity letters in track and field, and 2 Varsity letters in basketball. In cross country, George was a District Qualifier. In basketball, George was MVP his Senior year. In track and field, George won the Stanton Invitational in the 880 two years in a row; earned the most points in a season in 1974. George also won sectional and district championships and qualified for state in 1973 and 1974. George set the school record and district record with a time of 2:00:1. The school record still stands. George received the MVP Award his Senior year.
John Wilson, Athlete (Class of 1964) (posthumously)
John Wilson is being inducted posthumously as an athlete. John is being recognized for his MVP contributions to the 1962 and 1963 football teams.
